Hunting around for these batteries that have the plastic ring is a waste of time in the local retail, but always on hand with you! You won't find them in a jewelry store either since the watch is an antique. They last about one year with regular use and replace the old mercury ones for the watch. (Some Spaceview may require a reversible modification since the original mercury batteries ran at 1.35 VDC - these are 1.5 V DC. The voltage can be stepped down by the use of diode - which my needed. Worked like a charm for me).
The only problem I have had "knowing what the expiration date is on the product - I can't find it or these eyes are a failing!
